17.7 Miles, Man!

My father and I rode our bikes this afternoon for 17.7 miles. We rode the entire Terry Hershey Park from Beltway 8 to Hwy 6 and back. At Hwy 6 we discovered that it continues in the George Bush Park. It looks like we can ride all the way to my sister's house in Katy as that trail ends at Fry road and Highland Knolls. Unfortunately the trail in the George Bush Park appears to be gravel so my father's road bike would not work out very well. He might just have to break down and get a mountain bike. :-) The ride took us 1 hour and about 40 minutes and we hit a peak speed of 24 mph. I have to say I am really enjoying riding.
