Monday Ride
Amy and I rode about 8 miles today in 45 minutes on the Oyster Creek Trail near our house. It was a very nice evening for riding as it was overcast and there was a very nice breeze. We averaged about 10 mi/hr and rode the entire distance.

Saturday Ride
Amy and I went bike riding at the George Bush Park today. We wanted to check it out and see if we would want to bring out her horses at a later date. The area was very nice and I think we will be bringing out the horses later. We rode a total of 12 miles in about 1 hour 15 minutes. It is very flat but not too crowded. We rode to Highland Knolls and Fry rode and then a little past the equestrian parking. I am very interested in trying to ride from my parents house to Jennfer's house over these trails and back. (Maybe with a little bit of a rest at Jen's?)

Glengarry Glen Ross
Amy and I went to the Alley Theatre and saw Glengarry Glen Ross this evening. We met my parents at Mingalone Italian restaurant. Amy had the Ravioli's with Butternut squash in them, which everyone thought was the best dish. The play was a little heavy on profanity but it was very funny and enjoyable.
Two Rows with Wyatt
Amy and I went to Two Rows tonight and took Wyatt with us. We met Sara, Karl and James there and had a few drinks. We had a blast as always and Wyatt was a hit. We had several people come up just to meet Wyatt. Dogs are always good ice breakers. I think Wyatt had as much fun as we did.

17.7 Miles, Man!
My father and I rode our bikes this afternoon for 17.7 miles. We rode the entire Terry Hershey Park from Beltway 8 to Hwy 6 and back. At Hwy 6 we discovered that it continues in the George Bush Park. It looks like we can ride all the way to my sister's house in Katy as that trail ends at Fry road and Highland Knolls. Unfortunately the trail in the George Bush Park appears to be gravel so my father's road bike would not work out very well. He might just have to break down and get a mountain bike. :-) The ride took us 1 hour and about 40 minutes and we hit a peak speed of 24 mph. I have to say I am really enjoying riding.

I just discovered go@blogger.com but my camera on my phone is terrible. I guess I will need to get a better phone soon. ;-)
Eastside University Village Community Learning Center
Yesterday several of my staff and I helped setup a network for the Eastside University Village Community Learning Center. Bert Mikosh and Doron Maghet were indespensible in making it all happen and come together. Together we installed and setup 42 new HP computers with 17" LCD monitors. The systems were loaded with Windows XP and Office 2003. We also brought up a active directory domain server to allow them to have centralized authentication and data storage. We were joined by several other UH staff members and Technology For All people too. It was very enjoyable and everyone had a good time making it all happen.
